About Ronald
Raised by a devout and faithful woman of God, Ron had been actively involved in all kinds of church ministries. However, in 1998, his love for God had grown cold, and he slowly descended into an unrestrained life of rebellion. After about a year and a half of living a life he described as “nothing but shame and regret”, he repented and became even more determined to serve the Lord.
In July of 2000 he was diagnosed with full blown AIDS and was given just few months to live without the right medicine. Thankfully, the Lord slowly restored his health. A year later he was married to Evangeline and in 2008, the Lord blessed them with a son named Reuben, which means “A gift from God”. Since then, he began reaching out globally to those affected with HIV/AIDS. His goal is to raise support as he volunteers for full-time ministry as Director of Outreach for He Intends Victory.
Past Ministries
Growing up Ron Magno had been involved in church leadership including Bible Study, Youth ministries and Music. He pastored Pacific Lighthouse since 2001 with his brother Jun Magno, except between 2013-2016 when he pastored Hope Restored church in Hillcrest for three years. He also served as a board of member of ReStory for 3 years, a ministry to people experiencing sexual brokenness. Since 2008, Ron served as a board of member of He Intends Victory, a non-profit, non-denominational organization that reaches out to people affected with HIV/AIDS in 15 countries. On June 2024, Ron began to serve full-time as Director of Outreach/Missionary under He Intends Victory.
